2018 Super Global High School
We held a research issue result presentation
report

On December 1st, 2018 (Saturday), we held an achievement report on Super Global High School issues in the PS Auditorium of Aoyama Gakuin High School.


The first part of the presentation started with greetings from the event manager, and a presentation on the students' visits to Miyako, East Timor, and the Philippines.

In the program reports about Miyako, East Timor, and the Philippines, three representative students gave presentations about some of the many things discovered and learned through their visits, and they also shared their analyses and thoughts about what can be done in the future.




The second part of the presentation was a summary of the "Peaceful Coexistence" thesis given by four students.
In this presentation, each 8000 word paper was condensed and summarized into a 7-minute presentation.
The four papers were titled:
                    "Faced with child labor - What can we do?"
                    "Towards the future discontinuation of terrorism - Governmental and local approaches"
                    "Considering food loss based on SDGs – Working towards a sustainable consumer society"
                    "Hate speech vs freedom of speech" (* An English presentation)



The third part of the presentation was a poster session, given by two students who visited East Timor, and it was followed by an English discussion.
In the poster session, students announced the schedule for the National High School Forum, which will be held in December15th. 

The students Karuta activities aim is improving the literacy rate of local children in East Timor. It is titled "Attempts to improve the literacy rate of East Timor farm villagers using a Japanese traditional game called Karuta”.



In the panel talk session, students participating in the various SGH programs, talked about their advancements and feelings, while focusing on all the unique activities to our Senior High School SGH theme.



These presentations helped everyone to become aware of the problems faced both in Japan and abroad, and how they can use their enthusiasm to take action.
