Italian Visit Interim Report
[Legnani Short Exchange Study Abroad Program]
report

On the second day of our short-term exchange program to the Legnani school in Italy we held a presentation to introduce Japanese culture to Legnani students.

About 150 Legnani students gathered in the school’s auditorium and listened to our student’s presentation that was prepared in Japan.

Also on that day the Japanese Online Competition was held in Milan, so we took some time to support student presentations.

The next day, students, parents, and teachers gathered for a reception to introduce students to their host families. This gathering made everyone feel how wonderful exchange programs are.

Classes were five hours each day and they ended at 13:00.

History and literature classes were held in English and all the students were encouraged to actively participate in discussions so all the lesson hours were very fulfilling.
In addition, an Aoyama teacher took time to talk about Japan’s geography and history so local students could deepen their understanding of Japan.
