Leys School Study Abroad Program
【Leys Short Term Exchange Program】
report

A week has passed since our students arrived in England.

The students have begun classes in school in conjunction with the Leys students. Every day they are getting used to their new school lives, receiving lessons in geography, biology, and participating in common UK sports activities such as hockey and netball.

In their unique UK-based training classes called CCF (Combined Cadet Force) the students are learning about cultivating leadership, responsibility, and perseverance. In addition, our students got the opportunity to participate in a shooting class under the polite guidance of an experienced instructor.

In addition to learning about the UK, our students have taken this opportunity to introduce Japan to their new classmates. They have taught origami, simple Japanese greetings, and even instructed some of the Leys students how to write their names in hiragana.

Through these cultural and language exchanges all our students are receiving a great opportunity to deepen interactions with the Leys school students.
