The Leys School Short-Term Study Abroad and Exchange Program
report

A week has already passed since the student’s arrival in England.

Since The Leys School was closed for the first three days after our students arrived, they got to learn first-hand about the cultural differences between British families and their own by spending quality time with their host families in London. This opportunity will provide them with memories they will never forget.

After the students began their school lessons, they got to participate in English, ESOL (ESL), Drama, P.E., and First Aid lessons. These classes were allowing them to get use to school life in England. During their stay, the students also are given opportunities to introduce Japanese culture in the classroom. They introduced famous sightseeing spots in Tokyo, and taught their classmates how to make origami and to use chopsticks. These culturally based activities are a great opportunity to deepen the exchange between The Leys School and our students.
