On Friday, March 1, 2019, students who participated in the Philippine visit program last year conducted a SGH session in the Aoyama Gakuin Elementary School during English class.
High school students who participated in the Philippine Visit Program, which is held every spring vacation, at the request of the elementary school English department, gave a presentation on the Philippines in four elementary fifth grade English classes.
In the first half of the class, the high school students gave English presentations on basic information about the Philippines including some fun quizzes.
In the second half of the class, they hold sessions about the Philippine poverty problem.
The elementary students were asked, "Why does poverty happen?" and "How can we solve the poverty problem?” and then they discussed and shared their ideas.
Various opinions were given by the students such as "If we unified the world, then poverty would be reduced" and that “Poverty will not go away as long as the world population continues to increase".
Both the High School and Elementary students were greatly stimulated by the knowledge and ideas shared in these classes.
