Lecture session on foreign affairs and cultural understanding: The Philippines
This lecture session was cohosted with International Center of Aoyama Gakuin University. This year a guest speaker, a consul general, was invited from the embassy of the Republic of the Philippines.
The general introduced traditional culture, including foods, music and dances, with many photo slides. She also showed the connection of the two countries with historical twists.
There were some participants who have studied about the educational support of infants in poor areas of the Philippines as a part of our global program. They were especially intrigued by the diplomat’s honest view and considered explanations.
After the lecture, the students asked a variety of questions, each of which the general elaborately answered.
